What's with the recent contrarian hate for Blood Meridian on here?

It seems like people who haven't even read the book just copy-pasting passages to meme and using that as a reason as to why it's bad.

ah, blood meridian, monsieur? that novel is the sark and chaparral of literature, the filament whereon rode the remuda of highbrow, corraled out of some destitute hacienda upon the arroya, quirting and splurting with main and with pyrolatrous coagulate of lobated grandiloquence. our eyes rode over the pages, monsieur, of that slatribed azotea like argonauts of suttee, juzgados of swole, bights and systoles of walleyed and tyrolean and carbolic and tectite and scurvid and querent and creosote and scapular malpais and shellalagh. we scalped, monsieur, the gantlet of its esker and led our naked bodies into the rebozos of its mennonite and siliceous fauna, wallowing in the jasper and the carnelian like archimandrites, teamsters, combers of cassinette scoria, centroids of holothurian chancre, with pizzles of enfiladed indigo panic grass in the saltbush of our vigas, true commodores of the written page, rebuses, monsieur, we were the mygale spiders too and the devonian and debouched pulque that settled on the frizzen studebakers, listening the wolves howling in the desert while we saw the judge rise out of a thicket of corbelled arches, whinstone, cairn, cholla, lemurs, femurs, leantos, moonblanched nacre, uncottered fistulas of groaning osnaburg and kelp, isomers of fluepipe and halms awap of griddle, guisado, pelancillo.

>and they rode on and the bloody sunrise crept in over the flat plains and The Judge killed and murdered and raped another indian and spat on the ground
No author would get away with this on /lit/ if they weren't American. Amerimutts are so ashamed of their lack of culture that they'll come out in force if you ever criticise Yeccarthy's books, or one of their other "classics" about bumpkins raping their sisters and killing small animals. I guess that's what happens when you get American children to salute the flag every morning and teach them in literature and history class that America is the greatest country on Earth and can do no wrong, and then they go on 4chan and discover for the first time that every other country in Europe has literature that absolutely BTFOs American literature, that American literature can't hold a candle to. Americans are fucked in the head, I feel deeply sorry for them. Tell a kid long enough that Israel is their greatest ally and they'll think giving their taxes to foreign Jews is based. They'll even believe that being 56% white is acceptable LOL. There but for the grace of God go I.

Holy shit Mccarthy is so bad. No wonder he is absolutely irrelevant outside of America, anyone with even a small amount of aesthetic sense can see how bad his edgy and try hard prose is.

Cormac’s writing style is easy to meme on. Also, I can’t quite take him seriously for all his content matter, he’s a lifelong NEET yet projects his worldliness like a veteran soldier
