I moved to Asia because of this almost ten years ago. Good Christian communities in Singapore, Philippines (though Catholic), even Indonesia (most of the Chinese Indonesians are Pentecostal). Just came back to America. Actual Buddhists are not at all like they're portrayed in Western media. They're extremely stingy and follow tons of religious rituals and don't eat beef.
