I did a bunch of reading on the illusion of the self (particularly Eastern philosophy). I've also done a lot of psychedelics recently where I experienced ego death.

I've come to the realisation that the way I perceive the world is an interface like you'd see in a video game and that there is no "me" to experience it, just the experience happening and physical reactions within my body presenting it in a meaningful way to my brain to comprehend. As a result, I've concluded there's nothing intrinsically meaningful about anything.

Is this the final form of philosophy? What do I read to go from here?

Nigga there's more ego in these four sentences than in entire Rupi Kaur's poetry collection.
Sure sounds like ego death to me.

I think the early 20's is the time your naive youth is stripped away with the realism that life is a drudgery march towards death

ego-death shouldn't bring you to nihilism...it should do the opposite. you have realized now that u aren't this tiny person, here living a finite life which there is nothing past. you are infinity itself, having a finite experience. if you really had an ego death, you'd be spending your time loving others now, for the rest of your life. no more prejudices, no more cynicism, none of that. you have to love everyone you encounter

Right on the money! The high going into your early twenties, with all the existential crises and whatnot, are relived as you go down your *peak*. But it's like watching a movie of your most transformative experiences: you don't feel anything near what the original experience made you feel like.

Around 25-6 all the major things and big questions have faded by now. Stereotypical "what is the meaning of life?" questions gives you the reaction of : "LOL I remember being 18..." as if you're already 60 or something.
