Did anyone else really hate the ending to Stephen King's IT?
I mean, what even happened? Something about deadlights and an orgy between 11 year olds? Totally ruined the book for me.

I fucking hated it. I was 12 when I read it the first time, and it took me nearly 4 months. When I finally got to the end, I wanted to kill Stephen King. I didn't read anything of his for about 2 years, and then I realized that (other than The Eyes of the Dragon) that It was his worst novel. I recommend Misery or Desperation as a good cleanser after finishing It.

Don't get too excited.

Misery is my favourite book of his, I'll get the other one. Cheers big ears!

I was also 12 when I read it, and I loved it. I felt the magic. I wished to participate in my own beautifully-bonding gang-bang in the sewers with classmates. Alas, it was not to be.

It... I honestly don't remember my reaction to the book. I was more concerned with reading the book so I could move on to his next one.

Also, my athletic trainer at boarding school tried to tell me there was no orgy scene in the sewer between 11 year olds, but I knew... I knew...

To be honest, the only thing I DO like about It is that in the movie, Tim Curry plays Pennywise.

Tim Curry is awesome. One of the most underrated actors ever. Even as a "sweet transvestite" he is cool.
Honestly if I didn't look up the film before watching it I never would've known it was Tim Curry.

All of his books have bad endings. It's kinda what he's known for around here. I like his short stories though.

Not all of them...but it's a fairly large percentage. I absolutely LOVED Bag of Bones until the last two chapters. It was so plausible and then he just veered off into left field x(
