In the Desert, by Stephen Crane

In the desert
I saw a creature, naked, bestial,
Who, squatting upon the ground,
Held his heart in his hands,
And ate of it.
I said, “Is it good, friend?”
“It is bitter—bitter,” he answered;

“But I like it
“Because it is bitter,
“And because it is my heart.”

I went down, giving you my arm, at least one million stairs and now, when you are no more here,
it’s the void on every step.
Also in such way our long journey has been short too.
Mine still goes on, and I need no more coincidences, reservations, traps, the scorns of those who believe
that the reality is what you see.

I went down millions stairs giving you my arm
not just because with four eyes perhaps you see more.
With you I went down ’cause I knew that between us
the only true pupils, though such obfuscated,
were yours.

Love is enough: though the World be a-waning,
And the woods have no voice but the voice of complaining,
Though the sky be too dark for dim eyes to discover
The gold-cups and daisies fair blooming thereunder,
Though the hills be held shadows, and the sea a dark wonder
And this day draw a veil over all deeds pass’d over,
Yet their hands shall not tremble, their feet shall not falter;
The void shall not weary, the fear shall not alter
These lips and these eyes of the loved and the lover.

Now you're invoking Olympia and "moral standards", and you still haven't succeeded in making any sense. You still don't understand it's not about defending "roasties" or "realism"; it's not realism that painting is lacking, nor is it this or that of your idiotic identity politics stance, whichever that may be. Oh fuck off, both paintings have little artistic merit, I only mentioned instagram as it's funny how similar OP looks to what instagram "influencers" would post. They not only aim to be overtly sexual while trying to avoid full frontal nudity, but also sell a lifestyle: being fit and young, traveling, having adventures, and whatever else would make people want to be them. They also hide their faces often, the visual similarity is uncanny.

What you posted is cheap in a more traditional sense, it's plain old kitsch. Warm colors, intimacy of the unmade bed, the woman is handling flowers for fucks sake. Sorry, but the painting is heavy handed in that regard and generally unremarkable.

This post has nothing to do with the thread topic but seeing all these beautiful women makes me want to say this for all the people like me alone on Valentine's Day and without hope for love:

I'm unemployed and have no place of my own. I just applied to tons of entry level office tier jobs this week. I'm no adonis and certainly not ugly. I was lucky to have a small group of friends at one point in high school and a couple of years afterwards. I have had my ups and downs but I'm happy and grateful for what I do have: a home and shelter and parents who love me. I am going to at least try to get somewhere and get my own apartment. There's one problem down. If I'm alone forever so be it, I don't care anymore. But I will at least try to approach women and date even though I'll be a late bloomer. And if I don't at least I'll have my /lit/ bros. And if a nuclear war breaks out and the internet dies I'm sure we will all find each other just like how women know you're a virgin or not and discuss literature in the post atomic wasteland.

Peace out frens.

Listen to me, you incels. You idolize women because of your own shortcomings. You somehow think they will bring you happiness and worth. But the truth is, you alone can provide that for yourself, no one else can. Women are great and all, but there’s more to life than having a gf. I imagine most of these incels fawning over Instagram thots are 18-24 (>he uses social media). Incels have to work on themselves before they can truly be comfortable enough with their person around women. I used to be like you guys until my ex gf came along. To make a long story short, we dated for a while until I eventually broke up with her. Here was a woman I thought I would marry. Boy, was I wrong. More often than not we were fighting or I would have to appease her for something trivial she was upset about. Relationships are great but take a lot of money, time, and work to maintain. People liken it to riding a roller coaster, which I think is an accurate description . At one point in our relationship, though, right after putting him with some of her contrived irrational drama, I had a premonition. She was a NPC liberal. It would never have worked out, as she was obstinately set to her ways. I never told her I was a Trumptard. When a relationship ends, you’ll remember only the good times, not the bad. Life goes on. It’s a good experience, young love. It’ll teach you a lot about yourself and women. I wish it upon all you virgins.

May I suggest to you the artist Daeni Pino? He's one of my favorite contemporary artists and has such a fresh and elegant aura to all of his paintings that no other artist has been able to mimic in my personal opinion.

To His Coy Mistress
-Andrew Marvell

Had we but world enough and time,
This coyness, lady, were no crime.
We would sit down, and think which way
To walk, and pass our long love’s day.
Thou by the Indian Ganges’ side
Shouldst rubies find; I by the tide
Of Humber would complain. I would
Love you ten years before the flood,
And you should, if you please, refuse
Till the conversion of the Jews.
My vegetable love should grow
Vaster than empires and more slow;
An hundred years should go to praise
Thine eyes, and on thy forehead gaze;
Two hundred to adore each breast,
But thirty thousand to the rest;
An age at least to every part,
And the last age should show your heart.
For, lady, you deserve this state,
Nor would I love at lower rate.
But at my back I always hear
Time’s wingèd chariot hurrying near;
And yonder all before us lie
Deserts of vast eternity.
Thy beauty shall no more be found;
Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound
My echoing song; then worms shall try
That long-preserved virginity,
And your quaint honour turn to dust,
And into ashes all my lust;
The grave’s a fine and private place,
But none, I think, do there embrace.
Now therefore, while the youthful hue
Sits on thy skin like morning dew,
And while thy willing soul transpires
At every pore with instant fires,
Now let us sport us while we may,
And now, like amorous birds of prey,
Rather at once our time devour
Than languish in his slow-chapped power.
Let us roll all our strength and all
Our sweetness up into one ball,
And tear our pleasures with rough strife
Through the iron gates of life:
Thus, though we cannot make our sun
Stand still, yet we will make him run.

This is where you fucked up. There is nothing that dries up a pussy faster than this. The second that a girl gets a hint of weakness in you, she loses all interest. They can smell it like a dog smells fear.
