Such a question is logically equivalent to any question which supposes an object to possess a nonsensical attribute. Equivalencies include "Can a fish be half-genetic?", "Can a lamp be fully two?", "Can soberness be lacking in man?", etc.

Put simply, a book cannot be racist because the concept of racism has mutually exclusively defined parameters such that it cannot convey meaning. The word claims both of the meaning of differences in race, and normatively of the wrongness of this belief. Were 'racism' to be truthful, it would not be 'racist', such is the word's inability to empirically describe the world beyond the parameters of a single viewpoint.

It is the linguistic equivalent of the shin, which may bend backwards on the knee joint but not forwards. Such has been the poor state of Western philosophy since the dawning of progressivism.
