Is there a fantasy or historical fiction book or series that is like ASoIaF but without significant female characters?

So basically like our world then. Historic fiction should fit that bill nicely

yeah, but any good examples in particular, where the authors don’t shoehorn in a lot of strong womyn characters?

>> No.12495937

Particularly I’d like to read something that has characters similar to the Starks, but without the Arya and Sansa storylines, which I hate.

You mean like The Lord of the Rings?

Nah something less epic and high fantasy. Something with the kinds of themes that ASoIaF has. Feudal coflicts, succession crises, rebellions, etc.

I don't mind women characters, as long as they are well written. GoT women are absolutely terribly written. I can't stand it

Love it, and that’s the kind of vibe I like, but I’m looking for an original story written in modern times.

Prince of Nothing is fantasy and I think it has a couple of female PoVs which are kind of forgettable (one was literally a toilet).
The Red Knight, only 1 female PoV but I heard the sequels turn into furry shit.

Lots of random hoes and a couple of steady strong women (Morgana and her many names, Guenever). It's both manly and crazy, but also romantic.

I don't recall any furshit, but it quickly spiraled out of control with sjw shit like writing in a tranny and using s/he as a pronoun. As with the trainwreck editing through the series I seem to remember he used 2 or 3 different snowflake pronouns like hir and dropped them for another in the same book. Also retconned a few characters into gays when he introduced the tranny. Later female povs a shit too, book 1 was pretty good though.

Already reading it. It’s ok, but I don’t love it for some reason.

>It's both manly and crazy, but also romantic.

I like romance. I just don’t want female
characters that are so obviously written from a 21st century feminist perspective that it’s nauseating. ASoIaF would be great in my opinion, if it weren’t for characters like Daenerys.

Imagine Daenerys' fat belly gurgling as she grunts and lets out a loud fart.

Aren’t the evil Christian analogues in that series literally called The Patriarchy?

Wow, that looks great. Thanks.

I’m also thinking of reading The Wake by Paul Kingsnorth. Has anyone read that?

It's not the women that make ASOIAF shitty.
