Is this board the main voice of 4chan's left wing?
If it isn't, which one is?

No, it's not.
This is a place to talk about fiction/non-fiction literature, poetry, and so on. This is not a place for politics, only if you are talking about political literature.

I don't know shit about political groups in 4chan, can't help you there.

No. But /pol/ actually used to be left leaning like seven years ago or whenever it was initially made. I don't remember - it all blends together after ten years.

Dude they totally do. Have you heard of all the hardcore Trump supporters who have actually invested in Iraqi dinars because they think currency exchange rates are going to vanish because Trump mentioned "making things more even" a couple of times? They're real and they vote.

No. It's always been one of the more diversified boards when it comes to differing opinions but it has always skewed towards reactionary thinkers and traditionalists...mainly because a healthy respect for the Western tradition in literature has become taboo amongst most leftist circles in the West for the past 30 years.

I have read very few posts on here that are “Left Wing”. There isn’t a ton of explicity “Ring Wing” post here either but it’s much more common.

Can you explain what you mean by “Left Wing”? Because I’m picturing Political Ideogy and the people who follow politicians like AOC don’t read literature. They are obsessed with Harry Potter though.

/lit/ is a reactionary board. It's not /pol/, neither nu or old. It's certainly not /leftypol/. Yes, there are Marxists here. Yes, there are fascists here. But you should know that the true, rooted core of /lit/ was, is, and always will be reactionary.

As someone who lurks and lurks around 4chan I can say it is, even if /lit/ gets raided by stormfront propaganda (the subliminal OPs with nazi/hitler pics and the outright fascist/neo-con book shilling you see daily) there is still many who remember this is where Zizek was king.

Of course you now mostly see spam of stuff like Peterson, Nick Land, Sowell, or the now almost forgotten Ayn Rand. But that is just spam. But, people gets tired of having serious threads being drowned by the fascist shitposting squad you know. Is like any civil discussion about philosophy has to be trolled to the dead if it has marxist or anarchist tones. So yes, some veterans abandoned /lit/ over the years in search of more serious boards, but some remain.

Another board is /g/. Pic related.
