I can see the similarity. Heketormos seems to give a 20th Century take on the main character's situation. Except with a more existentialist slant, obviously.

Not as far as I know. I'm no good with photoshop, but it's what I use. Protip: the font I use for the orange text is Tahoma, the white is Times New Roman in italics.

I cut and pasted the white bar, and since it was poor quality I just blurred the text a little to match. Pick a painting to match your author's era and voila - you have trolled /lit/.
