How many pages have you read today, /lit/?

I managed to read just about 100. Pretty pleased with myself. Currently reading Dune, liking it so far.

I'm reading book two of the series. Not enjoying it nearly as much, but it is still enjoyable.

Read all of Book 2 of the Aeneid. Really just wanting to read half of a book per day (about 12-15 pages in my edition, each book is 30-40 pages). I'm really enjoying it so far

I'm glad to see some normal replies here. I don't normally read 100, and on days when I don't and see these types of threads I feel like a fucking brainlet.

Nice job anon. I definitely will give that a read.

I do the tai lopez program, so I ready a book a day. Unless I'm on vacation or something(which is oddly the best time to read). Anyway, however long the book is, that's how many pages I read a day. It could be 150-250 or it could be 500+

>> No.12422778

None so far, but I'm going to read the last 70 pages of the first part of TBK later.

I've stopped taking pride in or merely enjoying my reading page counts, quite sadly, OP.

I've been reading a lot all my life and it only made me a boring cunt, so now I'm a bit wary of considering reading 100 pages a day a worthy accomplishment. But you're right, I should keep the habit, if nothing else to stay in mental shape.

Good luck on your long journey as a reader OP, I hope you'll never become as bitterly idle as I have.

I read like 24% of this Intro to Derrida summary on my Kindle.

I’m trying to get into him and Wittfenstein before I read broom of the system but damn these niggas go from making no sense to making very obtuse arguments for things which are 1) totally obvious 2) entirely inconsequential to anyone’s life, just for white tower fags 3) should be said in plain english.

but yeah, like 24% of a pdf.

10 pages of philosophy. I like read and then re-read.

5 pages of Phenomenology of Spirit.

Acts IV and V of Taming of the Shrew. Was overall a very good play. Of the Shakespeare I've read it ranks as follows Hamlet>R&J>TotS>The Tempest. Going to be reading 1 play per week for a Shakespeare class I'm currently taking and I'm rather excited for more. So far we've read all of the sonnets and TotS (2nd week of class).

Has anyone read Lonesome Dove? I'm early into Part 2 but I read ~ 50 pages today. I love how natural the dialogue comes across between the characters.

True literature was never meant to be printed. If you're reading anything other than papyrus scrolls or stone tablets, you're missing the essential pith.

just read Broom of the System man, it's a fun book and Derrida is just an obscurantist. Wallace is a pseud and him saying BotS is a "dialogue" between W and D is just him blowing himself.
If you really insist on "preparing" yourself for BotS just read and understand what W wrote about linguistic meaning in PI.

The beginning of Dune bored me. It was like Star Wars Ep I as a novel. But I really enjoyed it when it picked up a few chapters in.

I once read a 350 pages book in a day for school. It was atrocious even though the book was good
