How do I master writing gory scenes? Or enhance them? Any tips? Is it best to describe gore in as plain terms as possible? Pls help.

You just have to use lots of icky words like rancid and moist. Now give me co-writers credit.

The best way to describe them depends on the rest of your book. Does it have a lot of violence in the previous pages? Is it being 'gory' and 'edgy' the focus? How shocking do you want it to be?

I find that the not so detalistic murder in Crime and Punishment is very well executed, made me feel a bit sick the first time reading. But of course, you could go balls to the walls with it, be super detailed, make it exaggerated etc and it'd still be good if it fits.

Like writing sex, it varies from reader to reader how they prefer to read it. I prefer an artful avoidance of heavy gore, mostly because reading that a man has his spine pulled out gives a good enough mental image of how that may look, as opposed to describing the squelchy sounds and spurting blood as each inch struggles to hold onto the innards. That being said, there is definitely an audience for overly descriptive gore

Consider the gory situation's impact on your charater.
In Blood Meridian, gory scenes were handled in the most prosaic way imaginable, to show the characters' attitude towards it - just what they do to get by. In other novels gory shit is given extreme attention to emphasize the traumatic impact on the character. Don't look at it as a "gore scene", but as a point of character development. And remember that nobody gets away from an encounter with the Real unscathed.

Read Frisk. Or just some excerpts from it. It was banned in the UK for a long time.

This. Drowning cats is honestly hilarious, especially if they're ferral kitties that would be a nuisance. They froth up the water something scary, even when it's only 10-15 per dunking cage. I swear you can hear them hissing and growling underneath the water.
