Take the dullest franchise in the world and dull it up a notch.

That’s like asking how you can make another Star Wars.
It’s a phenom. A one time deal

Write a contemporary working class epic. It doesn't have to be a character's journey, but there should be some kind of evolution. It should be an ode to the 21st century, something that ascends above all moral relativism and that brings people into unity, that gives its readers the same kind of feeling that Ancient Greek people could've had with Homer's epics, but it shouldn't rely on old forms, nor should it attempt to resuscitate the ethical system of the antiquity or Early Modern era. It should be something that would suit the era of identity politics and economic globalization.

The formula is no secret:
>useless loser suddenly gets superpowers or is the key to saving the universe ect.
>has friends usually with sexual tension.
>saves the universe or whatever.
so "totaly new"
>strong intelligent person works hard all there life.
>becomes moderately successful.
>has normal stable relationships.
>gets killed as superhero is saving the universe.

Rowling didn't write the Harry Potter series, or at least she didn't do it alone. The entire series, from conception to authorship to marketing was the result of a joint effort of intelligence agencies and the British Library.

Kids, and their parents, in the 70s didn't think so.
But that's so not the point.

The success of the Beatles is an example too. It doesn't matter what you think of them.
The time has come and gone.
