Is intellectulism just a cope for having bad looks?

>> No.12383208

Clearly wrong. Kant is the top intellecutal and a qt.

No I'm like a 7/10 and have gf my intellectualism is actually a cope for the yawning spiritual chasm in my life that threatens to engulf me the minute I don't have anyone to live for

This meme is such a load of garbage. Never mind the fact that a breadth of knowledge is far more invaluable than a narrow focus on antiquated philosophy. "starting" implies to read them to be done with them and move onto the next big thing, rather than reading in and out of chronology, or making the jump to antiquity from present day, or even reading modern and ancient philosophy alongside one another. The kind of person who espouses this trash opinion will also tell you to read the oeuvre of a certain author in the order of publication, to organise your socks according to the colour spectrum, and to rank the attractiveness of your ex partners from shortest to tallest. The arbitrary sequencing of taste really is just the pretence of a pseudointellectual who struggles to solidify himself as a free-thinking agent, and so relies upon the most basic human experience– the progression of time –to dictate it for him.

>a cope for having bad looks
It is in part. Doesn't make it bad or not usefull. "Being smart" isn't the worst reproductive strategy.

Dont worry granpappy patrician is just mad he only got to start once and he began with debased ecumenical doctrines. He will quiet down when the game show network returns from commercials.

Not necessarily. Given that intellectualism is usually discovered in childhood, and the frequency of actual intellectuals having undergone tutelage regardless of their deformities or particular expressions of understanding are evidence that rote learning can be acquired as can human growth hormone and protein supplements. The advantage is nonetheless to the aesthetically intellectual as opposed to the rational deformities of any logical transcriptionist. Earnestness plateaus but never fades in any medium.

It's more complex than that, every person pursues the strategy that compliments their natural gifts, this doesn't make intellectualism worthless.
