Used bookstores are both a blessing because they have so much cool stuff very cheap, and a curse because a lot of the time it's poorly organized and sorted. Spend a whole day there and come back frequently. Have fun!

Is that in Tacoma, WA? There's a place like that there. I found a copy of the Exorcist there. There were side rooms, upper rooms, back rooms and books stacked everywhere.
I asked the desk lady if she had a copy of it and she said "If we do, it will be in the upper room on the left."
I crept up there into a very cramped room with a low ceiling and books double stacked on shelves creating narrow aisles.
I looked for long while, but couldn't find anything. Then just as I was about to give up, I saw one stack I hadn't looked behind. When I moved it out of the way, the music from the Exorcist movie was playing in my head and there was one early edition copy of the book. 70's purple cover and all. Excellent book, highly recommended.

>poorly organized
You say that because you have never experienced these libraries in the pre-internet era. I used to go to a second-hand bookstore in an alley where an old man lighted his next cigarrette with the butt of the last one and had a (non-electric) typewriter on his all-metal 1960s style desk. The place was stuffed with books up to the roof, which was darkened and did not lack the occasional cobweb here and there. He knew where everything was and sent me on discovery trips navigating the overflowing bookshelves, going around the piles of books on the floor and on staircases steps, up and down that sacred temple of average sci-fi and occasional greatness. I will always hold him in loving memory. One day I found a younger man there who said he was his son; I kept going there for some time but he didn't know where anything was and the place closed soon after since he probably hadn't learned how to properly kill the city inspectors that wandered in, much less dispose of the bodies.
