Is he legit? Whenever I'm listening to him and want to write him off as a religious kook, he suddenly either displays a piece of great knowledge, clarity and insight, or outright drops a truth bomb which makes me wonder why I doubted him in the first place.

he's the worst. listened to him "debating" a Thomist (who had a PhD) and I had to quit. The Thomist kept making perfectly cogent and clear statements and all Jay did was sperg out with "muh church fathers and ecumenical councils", but not once offer a shred of evidence that would even serve to elucidate why what the church fathers said was correct aside from the fact that they said it.
