So I went to my local bookshop... And I was very confused. It seems like most books that are on sale are utter shit, half of the books I saw are biographies. On anyone, no matter how unknown they are. Nearly every sports celebrity has their own book (some more than one), and any faggot that has been on TV has a biography....

What the fuck.

Well I live in Ireland, so Easons. But its pretty much the same in any respectable bookstore, there's always a huge cancerous section of biographies.

I felt it was to satisfy the masses, you know? When they see some prat on tv they worship, they must own some bland biography about them.

Asda's book section is not a bookstore.
Either that or move out of buttfuck nowhere.

This is a bad post, and you should feel bad for it.

Don't live in the UK, and no I don't buy books in Tesco or any other massive shopping chain designed for the slovenly plebs that come in and buy their white bread and ready meals.

Eason's isn't really a dedicated bookshop, dude. I mean, really.

Well it's my "local" bookshop. But I'm also referring to ones that are, eg: waterstones.

>> No.1210862

Maybe next time you should try going to the fiction section instead of the biography section.

>> No.1210864

Do people read biographies? I've not opened one since I wrote a report on W.E.B. Du Bois in fourth grade.

Durp, it's right at the entrance, not to mention it's on the stand right at the front.
