How can I become good at mathematics so that I can become a real brainchad?

Understanding advanced mathematics is the closest thing to a Gift from God that exists desu. It appears at random, is inherently present from childhood, across every social and economic class, is almost never passed down to children or future progeny.

I imagine it must be exhilarating to be born with that gift. It's literally the closest thing to seeing the blueprints of the universe as it gets.

t. My grandfather wrote several advanced mathematics textbooks still used at some pretty prestigious universities but I failed mathematics every year from grade-school through college

You'd know man. Math autists can't fucking help themselves when it comes to numbers. They work on a single theorem for decades and it honestly seems like the calculations rattling around in their mind excites them more than anything a normie could experience. My grandfather used to lecture at a top ten American university and followed that up with working for NASA (when it wasn't a joke) building more aerodynamic rockets to kill communists (and launch satellites) more efficiently. He gets genuinely giddy around mathematics. He's retired now, but he has filled over a dozen, leather bound, several hundred page journals with calculations related to a theorem he's been working on for like 30 years.

Don't worry anon, we're good at other (less important) things. Like reading and writing real good.

That's just fucking wrong though my man. At least when it comes to advanced mathematics. That shit cannot be learned. It is either understood, or it is not. Basic mathematics can be understood by anyone that puts in some effort. I'll agree to that.

i. Read a discrete math book at get good at proving simple stuff
ii. Read Tao's analysis book and get good at analysis, or go straight to Rudin's Principles of Mathematical Analysis if you're super autistic
iii. Read an abstract algebra text, I don't know what the best intro ones are
iv. Congrats, you have a foundation for higher mathematics. Explore whatever looks interesting to you from here.

Modern mathematics didn't even exist 2,500 years ago. Buddhism and parallels to the foundations of mathematics is a big stretch.

He also destroyed the dean of Harvard's furniture or something, and cheated on his first wife which was a really big taboo back then. Not that guy and your reading comprehension is shit. He didn't say that it's untrue that "some people just have a knack for certain things." He was suggesting that given sufficiently advanced technology (which we don't presently have so "talent" "gift" etc are more useful terms for what we can't fully describe yet, though in principle we can readily do so in the future), one can analyze brains and thereby establish exactly what is going on which makes certain brains capable of x specific thing while other brains don't have the same capacity.
