Have you ever subtly demonstrated your literary knowledge in public? Yesterday I was buying a coffee when I noticed the woman in line in front of me was quite attractive. My country is known for attractive women, but even among these her beauty was clear. She ordered some kind of American style coffee with a great deal of cream and other things. As she passed by to leave the cafe, I tapped her shoulder.

"Coffee is best enjoyed black," I said, proffering a cigarette. She gazed at me with an expression of intense feminine différance, biting her lower lip in a way I found quite alluring.

I bought my own coffee and, waiting for the paunchy Italian behind the counter to prepare it, entered the toilet. To amuse myself, I carved a muted post horn into the wall, and beneath it I wrote "ce n'est pas un cor postal." I laughed to myself, a short and bitter sound.

When I went to retrieve my coffee, I found that the woman had left her phone number on a tattered bit of paper. I looked at it for a moment and then let it lie.

Are there any stories which don't use the narration style? I want something more creative and direct, in the present tense, without sounding like gay poetry.

Constantly. People have even praised my style of speech.

I believe that what I'm writing now might fit your description. It's very difficult to do. And there are portions where some level of narration becomes unavoidable.

Met a girl in the coffee shop the other day. She was wearing blue hair and short shorts which highlighted her long and shapely pale legs. Behind her in the order line I observed the gentle slope of the nape of her neck and could not help but ejaculate a small murmur of desire. She turned and looked at me; her eyes large bright blue pools of desire. There was an unspoken mutual respect and lust between us, which she broke by lustily whispering, 'Mount me like a mare you stallion anon.' I tried to order my coffee (mocha, large, double shot of chocolate and coffee) but she kept throwing herself in front of me, lips pursed and crudely miming a blowjob action. People began to stare and I beat hastily retreat with a copy of Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception in my pocket, unpaid for.

When playing trivia games was popular, my friends wanted me around. They think I have encyclopedic knowledge. Did many lit related ones, like quoting openings. My friends were amazed, but it was entry level shit.
