Can we be a bit more nuanced about the nietzsche hate?
Nietzsche is hard to understand and sometimes even harder to interpret. I feel like a lot of edgelords have only a surface-level understanding of Nietzsche.
As a true patrician you also have to know your Nietschze

Orwell's fiction is trash , but his nonfiction is some of the best political writing of the century.
Brainlets attach themselves to 1984 (and to a lesser extent Animal Farm) because it has a simple archetype-defining message and is a staple of USA highschool reading lists.
Even then they misinterpret the central point, especially in the USA editions of Animal Farm where the last scene of the pigs becoming indistinguishable from the humans is censored.

Thinking existentialism refers to accepting a cynical and nihilistic worldview, when in reality its central goal is to combat those ideas. I guess they think existentialism begins and ends with an "existential crisis," or maybe they mix up the philosophy with the phrase

Anarcho-primitivism.

These mouth breathers are absoloutley convinced that they would fair better in a neo-feudal system where they had to fend for themselves without their mothers regularly feeding them chicken tendies and paying for their internet.

They probably read Against Civilization - John Zerzan and have a copy of the unabomber manifesto to prop up up one of the legs of their dilapidated "battlestation" or desk.

They've basically spent too much time playing skyrim and consuming whatever clusterfuck of fantasy literature, vidya or tv. and have a problem separating fantasy from real life.
They more than likely are a member of some kind of historical reenactment society where they get to pretend to be a morbidly obese viking trying to pick up fair maiden's "m'lady"

It's science fiction with exactly one very obvious point being repeated over and over again. It's very simplistic and doesn't seem to have as much soul and passion behind it as Orwell's other work.
