What are some good books about murderers? (eg. Breivik, Bundy, Fish, Rodger, the Dark Knight Rises shooter, Harris/Klebold, Venables/Thompson, the Norwegian black metal scene and others)
I would Google it but I don't want the botnet to get suspicious of me, it already probably thinks I'm a suspect based on browsing the 'far right website 4chan' and looking at their Wikipedia articles. If there's one book that encapsulates several of them that would be cool as fuck but I'd be happy with ones focusing on specific cases

On the Farm by Stevie Cameron is an excellent and even literary account of Robert Pickton murders.

In general Serial Killers: The Method and Maddness of Monsters by Peter vronsky is a great resource on the topic.

Of course Helter Skelter is the classic on Charles Manson.

Ann Rule’s The Stranger Beside Me is the classic account of Ted Bundy.

As far as mass killers go I can’t really help you

Not OP but thanks for these. I love good biographies/accounts as long as they aren't shitty True Crime sort of stuff.

Have you read the transcript of the toy box killer's tape recording?

That shit is way shorter than a book, but way more insight into a psychopath's head than I thought possible.

Is it published or something? Sounds interesting. Wouldn't mind reading it right now.

Lots of good recommendations so far.

>The Ice Man by Phillip Carlo

It's about a hit man for the mob, Richard Kuklinski. Supposedly killed dozens of people for the Gambino crime family. What's great about this particular book is the level of access the author had to Kuklinski's psych records and his conversations with police.

>Devil In The White City by Erik Larson

One of many mainstream biographies, only it's about a period of American history that's not explored enough. Parallel stories of the 1898 World's Fair and the predatory activities of America's first (recorded) serial killer, H.H. Holmes. It has plenty of chilling insights into how adaptive people with ASPD can become, and how much damage they can do once they're "in the henhouse."

>The Complete History of Jack the Ripper by Phillip Sudgen

Straightforward encyclopedia of Jack The Ripper knowledge. I like that it doesn't have an agenda in mind, but instead maintains a tone that is both neutral and lurid.

A Mother's Reckoning by Sue Klebold is about her son Dylan Klebold and his life leading up to Columbine plus the life of the Klebold family after plus her own theories on what could've led Dylan to do it.

The Manson File is a great collection of things Charles Manson and his various associates over the years has said
