I hope you luck out and finally find a bitch dumb enough to actually find you tolerable. You hang out a couple of times and conversation is not that strained and awkward. You're thinking she might even like you. Being a well raised Christian young man, you take things slow.

Feelings deepen more and more on both sides. Your balls are pretty much exploding at this point so you figure out its time to marry. The deed is done and finally you get to hit that shit. No condoms, of course, God wouldn't approve. A pregnancy happens and 9 months of raising nervousness follow. All of your being is tied to what is about to happen, your wife is about to give you an offspring. Whoops, too bad, God decided that this one's gonna be a deformed retard. Now you see the absolute love of your omnipotent God, making you a servant to a drooling, shameful reminder of the inferiority of your genes.

>yeah, I’m a Christian, you got a problem with that? I used to be a sinner like you but 2 years ago I found GOD. In my teens I would laugh at creationists; I would always tell my grandma that I didn’t want to go to mass; I was agnostic but not like r/Atheism. But when I GREW UP and became a man, I realised I needed to put childish things away (1 Corinthians 13:11). Why is that? Because I realized that we need Christianity to SAVE THE WEST. After I voted Trump in the 2016 election I decided to go to church again. I knew that I would find a QT pure Christian GF who I could lose my virginity to (I haven’t lost it yet because I’m saving myself for marriage, like God intended). I haven’t found her yet, but like Job I will pray and have faith in God. Then I saw Jordan Peterson talking about Christianity and I was hooked! (I don’t like him anymore though, he’s a fake Christian). I watched all his videos on the bible and realised how God reveals himself in many ways. I was on /pol/ (came from r/The_Donald during the election but I hate redditors now) Christian General and I saw /lit/ chart which had The Bible and I KNEW I found my people. Every day I see THE WEST falling because we gave up our FAITH. Well, the new Christian intellectuals are coming; We are the sons of the Crusaders and we shall not recoil before the sons of Voltaire! (Candide was shit, so is Nietzsche (haven’t read either of them)). /lit/ introduced me to Kierkegaard and I became a KNIGHT OF FAITH, so now I know that I just gotta believe and that’s TRUE bravery. I read DANTE and DOSTOEVSKY and I saw the beauty of God and true art. I’m a proud Catholic (Protestants are heretics) but I hate Pope Francis, he’s a heretic and isn’t MY Pope. /lit/ is a Christian board, and I know that if I just keep recommending the Bible, telling people to go to church, and making threads about how great God is, I will finally be able to sincerely believe in God and distract myself from the gnawing feeling that I’m a fraud. Faith ain’t easy.

I'm feeling kinda bad today, but this little story warmed me up a bit, thank you

On the other hand, it's probably not that hard to love a child with Down's syndrome when you're a powerful politician with help around the house. It's way different for people of lower economic status. You were barely keeping afloat before a seriously afflicted child and now there's the medical bills, 24/7 care, severe mental stress. In return, you get nothing, not even a slightest sign of affection. You will never play catch with your child, see him off to school, attend their wedding. Your life is emptied of everything but this severe disease. Who can see God as defined by Christians there?

There are even worse conditions than Down's, leaving the parents with zero emotional recompense.

I don't think parents have kids for themselves, or at least they shouldn't.

I've always wanted to do this, but I'm an agnostic atheist and probably won't ever change. tried to do this before, but the act felt so hollow in comparison to what I'd imagine the fires of wanton innovation would allow for me to falsely prophesier. oh well, I suppose I'll never have the opportunity to become a satanic bard.

Having a child seems super selfish. It's probably one of the most selfish acts. You're trapping consciousness in this world and potentially sentencing it to great suffering.

What a terrible way to think. I suggest you find a new way of looking at the world. Suffering is no burden if you also know joy and beauty

When I hear something that does not seem thoroughly dejected, it definitely does open up my perspective a bit, but it also confuses me. I guess the gears of this universe have not began to mince you yet. I hope that this serenity stays with you for a long time.

M8 I've known people with down's syndrome, they don't need 24/7 care, they can go to school and so on.

It seems quite nasty to reduce a human being to a series of experiences, so what if you won't attend their wedding? A person isn't defined by the experiences they provide you with.
