I hate to be that guy, but that's kind of a apples and oranges comparison considering they come out if three very different literary traditions. Dostoyevsky was heavily influential on both Joyce and Nabokov, and Joyce pretty heavily influenced Nabokov. At a certain point it just becomes personal preference, especially when they aren't peers stylistically and period.
