A friend put me on to Labyrinths recently and I love it. Based off of this, what other authors can you recommend me apart from Umberto Eco?

The biggest ill of our age is the need for more. Here exhibits a philistine who has just discovered one thing and yet is already looking for alternatives.

A pathetic disease of the mind.

Are you retarded? I will finish this book at some point, at which time I will want a different book. Because I'm able to think about more than one thing at once I'm attempting to pre-empt that point

Borges is unique. You can name other Latin American authors, but not really... or other authors, but not really. Labyrinths is merely a selection off Ficciones and The Aleph, so I suggest you read his other books: A Universal History of Infamy, Brodie's Report, The Book of Sand

Calvino is frequently recommended to those in your predicament, though his books are wildly different from each other. Close to the Borges sphere: Cosmicomics, If on a winter's night, Invisible Cities.
