What is this meme capeshit fans keep repeating about Superheroes being like Ancient Greek heroes?

Ancient Greek heroes had the decency to fucking die and not coming back for sequels, and their lives almost always ended in tragedy, while superheroes, most of the time, beat the bad guy and save the city again.

If anything, superheroe stories bear more resemblance to medieval chivalric romance, with the hero being a selfless champion of the poor folk.

Also, these romances were considered schlock by posterior writers, similar to most capeshit stories.

We learn these stories as children as a way of establishing our moral and social world, then see them repeated in variations throughout our lives." It applies to most fictional characters really, superheroes are just the most obviously symbolic.
