How to read faster, concentrate better and remember more from a text?

read twice

cut screen time (most important one) you're lucky because it's simply a matter of reading when you usually use the computer/phone.
do activites which increase concentration. it's also easy since reading is one of them. Sight reading music if you play an instrument is probably the best one (works even better for piano music, sight reading two staves at once is the most complicated thing ever) Algebra is good too, mental arithmetics as well.

Basically, read and everything will fall into place. If it doesn't, then read twice.

it's actually fairly simple: limit your online time to 0-30min max per day, spend the rest of your free time reading, take notes, if something strikes you as memorable/interesting, develop a system for your notes.
been doing this for almost a year now (because of german phd) and it's really working
