Your mistake is attributing a form of neuroticism that only exists in those who play the social game to those who don't.

It's never "they'll think less of me". That thought never occurs because the idea of being thought of at all doesn't apply. It's more along the lines of "they're so vapid they make me want to puke my guts out". Rather than maintaining any kind of air of superiority, it's more a matter of being fundamentally incompatible with society.

id use whatsapp, but eeeeeh its a difficult thing to discuss cause they have evolved into EVERYTHING platforms, you can blog, vlog, twit, upload photos, send mails, chat, buy shit, share links, use it as an rss, get the news, watch videos, you can do everything you can do in the rest of the internet but in a single website controlled by a data-mining company, thats the main con it has

the second con is the way facebook used to work and how instagram works now, the selfie posting and like-dopamine mechanism,

third con is the effect in the psyche that the conscious editing of the outward image of your life

combine the two and you have an addictive dorian gray

fourth con is in microblogging platforms, twitter and the like, ive seen some people use it well, mostly tech security consultants using it to amplify links (doe politicians have used the same strategy and use it to build bubbles of communication between supporters, so i dunno what to tell it), and one or two "comic twitters" who just do jokes, the problem is its only one or two cause around 2/3 years most of them devolve into resented posting, its like a vent of shit and frustrations people have, i don't enjoy feeding my brain with that nor engaging on it

There's this girl I've been interested in for almost a decade. Ever since I became aware of her, I kinda couldn't take other girls seriously - even those that expressed interest, I've always shut down. Recently, as she became available, I've gotten to spend some time with her. She's unlike me in every possible way: where I am passive, she's excitable. Where I'm overly friendly, she's somewhat hostile. I'm prim and proper, she's definitely not. I spend my time reading, she likes being social, or watching shows.
