Has anybody here 'The Wrong Heaven', by Amy Bonnaffons? What's your opinion of it?

I'm close to finishing it, but I've really enjoyed it. And it might just be me, but her writing style almost reminds me of Harlan Ellison. In any case, I really like her writing style. She writes in a way that hits real close to home, and without having to resort to flowery or convoluted language.

She's reportedly working on a book to be released in 2020, will definitely get it.

It's a collection of short stories. Some border on the more fantastical (i.e. a plastic Jesus and Mary statues come to life when plugged in) to more down-to-earth stories.

I wouldn't be able to tell you that from experience. An educated guess that might describe the behavior of someone with no cognitive ability worth a fart would probably paint a picture of someone who isn't prepared to engage any philosophy or study if it goes counter to his personal beliefs, and thus he just dismisses it while still remaining ignorant as ever.
