Doing fine. I've published one, another is in editing stage, two more finished drafts, two halfway through the first draft before I petered out (but I will return to both), one in planning stage that I'm going to start writing in a couple weeks, and one I've been thinking about for a year or so now but never got around to actually write.

Too busy being paralysed by fear and having no idea where I want my story to go. I've taken to reading a fucking thriller novel in hopes that I can convince myself that any idiot can get published if they perservere.

For a year I’ve been writing a novel by hand in a series of notebooks. Last night I finished the book, feeling very accomplished. Then today I transcribed it into Word. Turns out it’s 41 pages. Wtf? Guess my handwriting is big.

Tell us the name of your book anon. Don't you want a bunch of pseuds to tell you, a published author, what's wrong with your work?

I have had two poems published this summer in the same venue. It's kind of a weird off-beat website based out of Detroit. They have a decent social media presence but it hasn't exactly sent many accolades flowing my way.

My hope is to continue to get poems published, hopefully in venues with higher profiles, until I pick up some notice or momentum among poetry watchers. Hopefully, also, by that point I'll have enough poems to fill a chapbook.

I'm going to buy on Amazon your books, my anonymous friends, just tell me their titles! I know that it can be difficult and I just want to support you. Maybe you'll earn a fan!

Word count is what matters. How many words does the document have? Anything below 60k is not even novel-tier.

Got a Best of the Net nomination for a short story I published a couple months ago. That’s the good news. Bad news is my latest story is the best thing I’ve ever written yet it is getting rejected all over the place and I’m getting kinda bummed about it.

I have no drive to write, play guitar, draw, or do anything. All I do is read and watch anime and occasionally write a page or two. How to fix this /lit/?
