Does anyone else listen to ASMR while they read? I find as long as it is a no-talking video, it helps me focus and relax while I read

If I don't listen to at least something at all times, the worst song I've ever heard in my life immediately returns to the forefront of my mind and I despair. It has literally been stuck in my head for more than 20 years. I deal with this by surrounding myself with noise.

Here it is:

Anyway, I can enjoy ASMR if I sit down and focus, but just listen to a local pop radio station while I read most of the time.

I used to have to have one of those 12+ hour white noise videos while I read. Thankfully I no longer need to do that. Now I have these special pills that'll focus my mind for me.

I had that He-Man meme Four Non Blondes song stuck in my head for a while and kept hearing it when I was reading.

It's a serious ear worm.

Is there anything inherently wrong to be addicted to stimuli? As opposed to being dead and not consuming any at all?

>it helps me focus and relax while I read
It helps me close my eyes and sleep
But when I read I get earphones, noise cancelling headphones and sit outside where I can only hear distant traffic, if I do this I can read 8-12 pages an hour compared to 6 pages an hour

if you listen to anything but white noise while you read you're shit
