I own an old Arabic translation of this edition.
I couldn't understand the language at all, but I loved looking through this as a child and the story itself (which I learned through other means) is still one of my favorites :)

Favorite BP stories, go.

Mine are The Tale of Benjamin Bunny, The Tale of Ginger and Pickles, and The Tale of Little Pig Robinson.

There is a distinct sense of dread and fear that is not quite as overly present in the other stories in Little Pig Robinson. As a child it bothered me, but as I got older, and re-read it, it appealed to me much more.

The tale of Ginger and Pickles is just hilarious through and through. It never fails to tickle me every time I read it. When Pickles starts shitting himself at the police is a screamer - and it only made me laugh even harder when I got older and learned what dicks police could be.

The tale of Benjamin Bunny is a better tale than Peter Rabbit, and Old Benjamin Bunny is still as imposing as he was many years ago. The bit with the basket and cat is still disquieting for me as I've never quite gotten over my claustrophobia.
