Anyone read Sid Sanford Lives!
Same title on Amazon
What did you think of it?
When you read it how did the characters sound to you?
I have a copy of the book, Ive read the first few chapters so far, its a nice read.

The reason I ask is, I have been asked to narrate the book.

It seems to be well liked, and I dont want to mess it up.
Plus its a treat to get read a book that isnt crap.

I just wanted to know, from a readers perspective, how you perceive the "voices" of the characters? I generally have no issues coming up with voices and such, but since the book is fairly well known (in the 2milions on Amazon) obviously quite a few people have read it. I would like to capture as closely as I can what the readers hear when reading it for themselves. Ive asked the author for direction on it, and not unlike many, have given me cart blance on it.
So what do you the reader say?

Any help would be appreciated, and if possible, once done I would be able to give out a few free copies, It will be several months tho, I want to do a great job on it.

So what do you say /lit/, help a poor starving narrator out?
Pic unrelated.

How do you record it, just make sure you do multiple takes for dialogue section (or do you absolutely have to read like 3 hours straight?)

and make sure you are speaking clearly, and slow enoughly, and comfortably, and naturally, and warmly, invitingly, maybe dont over indulge the acting voices, or very hardly read them differently when you get to character speak...though... idk i dont recall the percentage splits of how many audiobooks ive heard and how extreme the narrator acted out and differed the voices (like falsetto for girl, maybe subtle swagger changes, is common)
