1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

I never really believed in the:
> there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

To live a sinful life is certainly to suffer, sure, but also existence itself is painful as well, even if holy. All that temptation, persecution, loneliness, doubt and fear. Even Jesus after the olive garden part in the Bible suffered greatly until his death on the cross.
Now, heavenly afterlife is depicted as joyous, no more pain, or crying. The mere fact that your loved ones could be in hell deprives it of that. Secondly, if being faithful to God is such an enormous trail, why would it suddenly be easy? Surely, anybody who belongs in heaven should be prepared to suffer eternally for his faith, for his devotion. For it to be any different, sin would need to stop existing, and since sin is a product of the free will, would that mean free will would cease to exist as well? I guess that's why afterlife is called an eternal rest.

If there are plural gods, not omnipotent, not omniscient, not even the ideal of love and goodness - why would you worship them? sounds like regular, if superhuman beings to me, to worship them would be pure cuckery

You think according to the flesh. Being with God is bliss because he is bliss. You cannot be sad if you partake in God's love and understand his will is superior to yours.

That's a complicated question. It depends on what you mean by "God". You see, I believe that, "WE are here" implies to some degree that there are forces larger than us. Now, we can get into the semanticalities, the very notion of "belief" itself can be rhetorically whittled to the bare nub of its meaning. I'd like to talk to you a lot more about this. Would you be interested in reading some of my literature?

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
