This is kind of cheating but I'd like to add Gnostic Gospels to The Bible and then release it all as one total book. I'd tell everyone that there was a civilization that existed called Rome 300 years before The Happening and I found the Sacred Jewdi Texts.

I also like The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, we could all worship a benevolent Lion God called Aslan who died so that he may be reborn and come back and fix all the bad shit that happened.

Unironically, it is Infinite Jest.

A large part of society, including me, commit suicide. Some seekers go in search of the fantastic entertainment, so they can prevent more from committing suicide.
Eventually, some of the Seekers realize they will never find it, so they go off to make their own. These are called the Finders.
After the Finders start lulling the Seekers down false trails, and they perform cruel acts on the Seekers. They take their women as breeding partners, and with the children, they ritually slaughter.

Eventually, the Finders realize that torture is the way to make insatiable entertainment, and they market it to the remaining masses.

Then everyone dies, because fuck Infinite Jest.

The world has just ended; following the front leading to this, a universities psychology department was miraculously left relatively unscathed, the only standing building to be seen for miles, in what use to be a densely populated metropolitan town.
In the aforementioned university, a group of psychology students huddle together asking how to proceed. These students eventually decide that everyone should be thoroughly interviewed before being allowed into their humble department.
This lead to all newcomers being seen as psychotic or at the very least neurotic individuals, leaving them barred from entry.
Eventually, the campus found itself surrounded by rotting corpses, making for a most vulgar smell defiling the halls.
As resources started to dwindle however, even the students in here have began to lose all resolve in face of the cataclysm.

Eventually, the campus splintered into different factions; consisting of cannibals, a more mild group of ruffians who would only occasionally kill -- preferring theft without altercation if possible, and oddly enough a small sect of ethicists -- who seemed to be the most feeble of the three, as they refused to pillage other groups for their scarce aliments, which the other two groups immediately jumped to.

As the days drew forth, groups of students who'd left to find other survivors beyond the town's rubble were nigh heard from again, all hope to those who had stayed had dwindle beyond the slightest of hope. In the end, the cannibals were the last faction to remain; the screams of students would eventually fade in the year to come; until finally only silence remained. A vile, and piercing silence.
