I can relate. I have 18 books that I'm currently reading, not joking. Most of them are philosophy or mathematics textbooks that I completed less than 3 or 4 chapters. I always start to reading them religiously and then I accidently skip a day and never feel like I am in the right mood to continue, after several months I get mad, start again at the beginning and finish the books in a single shot

I like all of Burroughs' cut-up trilogy, but then, I'm also 22.

One of Anthony Bourdaine's shows has an episode on Morocco that dips into a nice chunk of Burroughs hero worship.

Also, I highly recommend Cronenburg's film adaptation.

And if you have any LSD, I recommend microdosing while you read, it pairs well with the em dashed stream of consciousness stream of madness vibe.

It's garbage isn't it? Completely misunderstands existentialism, and littered with small misunderstandings and misapprehensions about drugs and drug experience. At best it is an introduction to the subject for persons with no personal experience or knowledge, which should be departed from as quickly as possible for anybody with serious interest in the topic.

As a general life thing I recommend learning to grow psilocybin mushrooms. Not difficult at all given a smidge of spare income and privacy, and of course a willingness to read and carry out basic instructions. I'm currently living with my parents, so I can't until I move out again, but I experimented with it in college with great success and I intend to start up again once I'm on my own.

Also, consider ordering San Pedro and blending and boiling it etc. according to online instructions. Not hard but not usually very successful in my experience.

>> No.11458101

>>11457830
My problem is where the fuck would I get the spores? I live in Eastern Oregon and its hot and dry now, not really conducive to mushroom growth. I've been told grow kits are a bullshit waste of money as well.

I had actually planted some San Pedro last year and none of them even sprouted.

>> No.11458147

>>11458101
You order spores online for "research purposes," it's not complicated. It doesn't matter if you live somewhere hot and dry as long as you have liveable air conditioning and can keep a sealed box damp. People only think growkits are ineffective because they're retarded and don't have the capicity to read and carry out simple instructions: I suggest midwest growkits.

I never attempted to grow San Pedro, I just ordered them off of ebay and then prepped what I got. It's a very hit-and-miss approach, mostly miss, but I've had a little hit. Low dose mescaline has a watercolor vibe.

A great literary tradition we have behind us, lads.

18
Waterford

I read a lot of books contemporaneously. Right now... Rereading Dubliners very slowly. Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake, also read at great length. Aubrey-Maturin continually in the background. Brief Interviews with Hideous Men. Just began Tristram Shandy -- reads well with the Sorrows of Young Werther I think. Poems by Jacques Prévert. Dianetics. Roald Dahl's short stories. About to start The Táin.
