Let's have a thread for literature that you have read or want to read that is difficult not only to acquire, but to even find information on.

I've been hunting down the works of Jens Christian Djurhuus for a while now, specifically his Púkaljómur, which is not only hard to find, but hard to even find anything written or discussed about it. I understand the difficulty is heightened by the language barrier, but Ive found more written about older works from more irrelevant corners of the earth than this stupid Faroese poem.

What have you guys been after

I've been after a good, complete copy of Eriugena's Periphyseon. It's surprisingly hard to find for what seems like one of the most important theological works in the interim between classical antiquity and scholasticism.

You're right, the only complete set I've found runs several hundred dollars. That being said, it is out there at the very least. It seems like the best bet is amazon, its cheaper and more *translated* than the ones I am finding on ebay and goodwill.

>tfw Library Genesis has an edition in 4 volumes and all but the last are translated

as far as legitimately impossible to locate, when I read Ueda Akinari's Tales of Moonlight and Rain, there were a ton of interesting-looking medieval Japanese poetry and short story compilations referenced in the footnotes that I can barely find any information about online.

If I can believe his most recent visitors, he is obsessed with the Devil, whom he sees at work everywhere in the world, destroying the divine harmony and replacing 300,000 km/sec by 299,887 km/sec as the speed of light!

The closest I've come to acquiring what you term "hidden" literature is trying to get a hold of the Norman Thomas di Giovanni translations of Borges. They're the best English translations, in part because Borges worked on them himself, helping di Giovanni every step of the way.

But when he died his cunt of an ex-wife stripped di Giovanni of the copyright, so they've been out of print since then. Fortunately I've been able to find quite a bit of it on eBay.

"The Sacred Conspiracy. The Internal Papers of the Secret Society of Acéphale and Lectures to the College of Sociology."
