What's some good literature for a young man soon to start his studies at Princeton University?

For those who don't know, Princeton University is generally considered the greatest university in the history of the planet. Some names affiliated with the institution are Albert Einstein, Jeff Bezos, Alan Turing, Richard Rorty, and yes, myself.

I've long since finished with Fitzgerald so please don't recommend me your sophomore year reading assignments.

Also, please don't reply to this post if you lacked the mental acuity to attend a school ranked at least in the top 5 of your country.

for all the brilliant minds at princeton, a huge swath of any given class is reserved for underrepresented minorities, athletes, and legacis. two people went to princeton from my class: one was the valedictorian, the other a swimmer who did not even achieve national merit commended status, nor rank in the top 20% of the class. america's elite institutions should follow oxford's model and stop admitting such intellectual deadweight.

lmao you're not gonna make it kid, everyone who came into freshman year with this attitude dropped out or transferred to a less intensive institution. People with your attitude are better off at Yale or Harvard.

Great school, central Jersey's one of the best kept secrets in the nation, and the reason NJ's the Garden State- better tomatoes, corn, and melons than literally anywhere else in the world.
If youre entering undergrad and I had to name five I'd go
Thucydides, Ovid's Met, Quixote, Montaigne and Emerson's Essays. Good luck, anon. I miss Lawrenceville and environs. Joyce Carol Oates and John McPhee are still there, I believe.

Princeton has produced a very small number of good writers for an institution of its caliber, it also produces an exceptionally large number of scumbags. Here's a book written by one of your great university's alumni.

I would like to think that the anti-elitist instincts that so many American harbor will actually manifest themselves into something effective some point in the future. I wouldn't want to see anyone hurt, but I wish we could have candidates that would act against these schools and their alumni.
