literature is more nuanced and articulate than the actual human experience. music is more emotional than you can feel. paintings are more beautiful than the things they depict. this upsets me greatly.

authors for this feeling? how to overcome?

why is this a bad thing? if art wasn’t “better than reality” then there would be no reason for it to exist

because reality is incapable of measuring up. i am stuck in the squalid trivial cage of reality and all my existence is seeing how meaningful things outside are

>>11327763
an essential aspect of nature seems to be that existence dirties the ideal, art is unencumbered by this ugliness since its depictions dont exist

The point of art is to surpass reality. In its most primitive form art simply depicts reality, without offering much originality. It did not take long for humans to improve upon art such that it encapsulated the best and most beautiful aspects of life, real or not.

>> No.11327969

If you lived in a world where reality was the same way as the art that you view here, it would feel the same as this reality because you have nothing to relate it to. For instance if in an ideal reality everybody knew how to fly from birth, it wouldn't feel as beautiful as art depicting human flight in our world because its just a normal part of life. Art however influences people to create the world in its image, or at least it used to. Now the most influential art is McDonald's, so those are the feelings that most people are made out of.

you have a low sensitivity to aesthetic experiences and are overly agreeable and open to emotional transferrence that’s why this feels this way. when socializing you go into auto-pilot, when doing your daily routine you shut off most of your existence to function properly. its you who has nothing to offer not reality. you render things beautiful and ugly

reality is art, anon. We live in a projection we built in the future, in fact, in the biggest work of art ever created. It looks uglier only because making sense of it is more difficult - and because we still have only a partial view of it. Would you say a novel is beautiful by reading just one page?

What the fuck do you think inspired artists to create their works? Did they pull it out of a hat? It's all inspired by reality you dunce. You'd better start finding beauty in the shit that's all around you, or else you're fucked for life.
