Hi /lit/,

I was wondering if there’s any good books out there that give a good history of the Western far-right, hard right, radical right, or whatever you want to call it.

If there’s no overall history, I’d like something that focuses on the 20th Century and on the intellectual part of the ideology, like pic related and Oswald Spengler.

You're imagining some kind of intellectual tradition that involves fascism, nazism, Spengler, and Evola into a coherent narative. It doesn't exist. No one sees it that way. The Third Reich took Spengler by surprise and he even predicted it'd be gone within ten years of his death. Which it was.

Just read the history of the period and the original works and you'll be fine.

there is no intellectual history outside of the 19th and very early 20th century. Evola isn’t an intellectual either he’s a pseudo-intellectual occultist LARPer who was disavowed by the entire rw. Read Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, de Maistre, Schmitt, Jünger, Weinenger, Rosenberg (have fun, he’s a retard and blatantly lies about history and biology), Hitler, Goebells diaries, Hitler’s Mein Kampf, Carlyle, Hobbes, Spengler’s Decline and you’ll have covered their “intellectual” tradition thoroughly

i read N and couldn’t bring myself to read authoritarian rw lit its so debased and resentful there’s no purpose to it. but you’re an 18 year old midwit so it should fit you like a new glove or a trojan condom which im sure you just started using. Oh you didn’t well the glove then, unless you’ve never played baseball or had nice gloves then i suppose you wouldn’t comprehend the simile. Regardless you’re almost certainly stupid so read what i recc’d and never post here again fag

Kerry Bolton's "Artists of the Right" does what you're looking for for art. Being "on the right" was a given in the past though, so I don't know how you would give a history of it. Were monarchies "right wing"?

"Far right" merely describes historical normalcy. It has been having foreign agitators and revolutionaries (jews) in our countries that has dragged people in different directions by corrupting norms and making nature seem unnatural, because that is part of their strategy for weakening the host society they wish to conquer from within. The left-right spectrum is a farce.

I don't know of any comprehensive books, but I would recommend reading the George Webber translations of Carl Schmitt, he gives an excellent background on how Schmitt's ideals came to be. While Schmitt is only a small part of the movement, and may even be considered distinct from the right-wing movements at the time, it will give you a good background of the juridical and philosophical arguments concerning the state and the nature of sovereignty at the time.
