Oh, well I was primarily thinking of Martin Heidegger, but there's also Carl Schmitt. They were both Nazis, although Schmitt was far more committed to Nazism than Heidegger, who was basically a weak-willed, greedy, pathetic little fucker. He was also probably a genius (although I guess you could make the case that he just ripped off some trends in Eastern thinking, specifically that discussed in the Book of Tea and, later, in some of D. T. Suzuki's work).

Post-Siberia he was supposedly a hardcore Orthodox Christian and slavic Nationalist, who just happened to be extremely good at making counter-arguments to religion. So if you read his books it can be hard to tell who is representing his own views (Prince Myshkin in The Idiot is one who definitely does, he gives this rambling speech at a party scene which was one of Fyodor's own magazine polemics verbatim). But then you have characters like Ivan in Brothers K who make it seem like he was actually suppressing his real opinions or whatever.
