Does manga count as literacy cause I see a lot of threads about favorite book, which is Tokyo ghoul, but idk if I can say that here without someone saying "Manga is not suppose to be here pleb"

I've seen Jojo get mentioned here a few times before. There have been a few threads about manga or books involving the subject of anime and other aspects of Japanese culture but a lot of the time these threads end up deleted. I for one thing some degree of Manga discussion should be allowed. Perhaps there could be a weeb general to contain such posts. Just a thought.

If the title is written 3 different ways on one cover, it's not literature.

>you didn’t read No Longer Human in manga format

There are boards for this trash already.

I’d like it if /lit/ allowed one manga thread just because /a/ never really discusses the literary side of manga. There are some that are on par with novels.

Majority of manga: no.
However, there are some manga definitely worth discussing on /lit/ - like some other anons have said, a little containment board might be kind of nice. Tokyo Ghoul was actually what got me into reading Kafka, and then a bunch of other books - the manga reflects some of Kafka's themes as well, which is cool.

Also, :re is fucking trash and I firmly believe the editors killed the author and took over it themselves.

Asano's work in general definitely holds some literary merit.
