I got a lot out of him towards the beginning, especially on the political side (socialism, postmodernism, feminism, etc.). I also like his use of the whole order vs. chaos duality. He also helped with assertiveness and looking at dominance hierarchies. Gave me a new lease to look at human interaction that I haven’t heard before.

The problem is is that I sort of already know the other shit he says, or rather I don’t agree with his other shit. With my that’s, I already read Joseph Campbell so I’m good there. I also disagree with him and psychology. Someone else said it before, but it seems that his depressive tendencies seem to make him label the world a certain way (the world is an evil place, etc.). I also got really disillusioned with him after I saw that debate he had about God.

He’s way better as a political thinker, in my opinion.
