hello friends. very soon i will be leaving the rat race to live the monastic life in europe. i don't belong here. for years I've been alone and in pain, ever since I first had my heart broken and learned the apathy and sometimes outright disgust i inspire in women was not a bug of an awkward adolescence, but a feature. for years i thought i could translate this yearning into art, but i have neither the voice or the vision to do it justice. i am everybody's wallpaper. i am a little sexless bee, buzz buzz buzzing in the ears of the great. i am genetic refuse. a self-aware pupa: i only exist to die. in the monastery I want to kill the will. am i running away? i don't know. who isn't these days? b-but you're denying l-life! life denied me first bucko.

what are some books for turning your back on the world? preferably out of despair. please no reddit recs. even cioran i consider just entry-level (though brilliant). let us commiserate about our dead youth and failing bodies.
