In every Goonan thread I see, I never see any arguments to back up the hate, which is why it comes across as snobby. People seem to hate him because he's a young guy like themselves who has apparently written a very important philosophy book of all topics, so they dismiss it because they can't handle that someone could write such a thing without being a refined /lit/izen who has read a thousand books, has a P.h.d., been published by a major publisher. What makes the book so great is that it is coming from someone who is none of those things.
