it's not unbelievable that some memeslut with a victim complex would have killed herself after masochistically seeking out cyber bullying. what's unbelievable is that all of her personal social media accounts on very different platforms were all deleted at the same time less than a day after the fake obituary was posted and subsequently deleted. if you have ever dealt with facebook, tumblr, instagram, twitter, youtube, etc regarding the account of the deceased, you'd understand that it just doesn't happen that fast with any of them, let alone all of them at the same time.

and that's all under the unlikely assumption that her parents not only knew about every single one of her social media accounts, but that their very first thought after finding their dead daughter was to process her death certificate (also extremely improbable in the time frame) and delete all of said accounts rather than moderate and memorialize them.

It's been over 10 years since I last picked it up so my memory is a bit hazy. I remember her delving into spirituality by the end but couldn't recall whether or not she was like that by the beginning. And with I'm trying to write, I'd rather not risk re-reading her diary and unintentionally quoting it (and putting myself at risk for a lawsuit).

Basically my idea is that Anne is flippant about religion and privately ridicules her sister and mother's unbreaking faith but that changes after she becomes pregnant in late 1943. Increasingly overcome with fear and a sense of helplessness, Anne experiences an epiphany and becomes increasing religious over the course of 1944, constantly praying for the safety of herself and the new life growing inside of her. With Peter more or less cynically forsaking the Jewish religion, Anne start to pray on his behalf. Eventually, she begins praying to Christ out of desperation. Pleading for something, someone, to help the three of them, save from the Hell of Nazi occupation.

At the same time Anne secretly feels immense shame for her own perceived sins such as unfaithfulness to her own religion, even as she prays to Christ. And sins of the flesh even as she regularly engages in sexual debauchery with Peter because it's the only thing that alleviates her boredom and fear (yes, she's a hypocrite, that's the point). In addition for prayers of safety, she prays for forgiveness of her own soul.

Eventually, whether by divine intervention or sheer coincidence, Anne's prayers are answered, but not in the way she expected. Pic related.

obituaries or death notices in papers are issued and confirmed from things like mortuary records. funeral services planning, verified statements from the family, etc. it's almost a week now with nothing of the sort, because nothing of the sort yet exists. in the unlikely event that she was autopsied it could take "7-10 business days" for a coroner to issue a death certificate, so we'll see what happens when that countdown reaches zero.

i suppose it's also possible that her parents stuffed her corpse in a freezer and are pretending she's not dead which is why no statements or records confirming her death have come to light, but occam's razor would suggest that she's simply not dead.
