Yeah give it a chance. Dostoevsky gives a very honest portrayal of both Christians and non-believers. Really read and take to heart the parts with Father Zosima in the novel. Book VI is a beautiful and accurate exposition of the Christian life. I'm prayin for you brother.

I actually just finished this, with the Constance Garnet translation. I thought it was very dry and boring, with parts just dragging along. Am I a brainlet or something? Thinking about rereading this with a different translator, because I’ve read McDuffs crime and P&Vs the idiot and those two were really enjoyable
