It was pretty dope, although /fit/ seemed more enthusiastic. When I ended a bunch of /fit/ers came here and expressed their adoration and greeted us to their board with open buff, sweaty veiny arms, and /lit/ basically told them to fuck themselves. I went over there and told them how much I missed them and how badly I needed them to hold me close to their well-defined chests, while I read them Ulysses. I found 20 bucks and everybody clapped.

People go too far with being fit, spending all day with various sports. You should do no more than some weightlifting or running because those activities allow you to get it done as soon as possible because exercising is completely secondary to philosophy. I think physical health and virility are very important.
I don't think lifting and engaging in an vapid, unhealthy subculture is a worthy pursuit. Especially the /fit/ kind, which seethes with mental problems. Either for competition or culture, many in it do things completely counter to physical health and virility. Often comes across as a snapshot of a humanity-wide collective display of male insecurity. There are much better options than being some gym rat or one who has 'made it' yet is more fragile than ever in their body image and health. Let's not get into the fact that just lifting in pretty static motions actually does markedly little for your physical ability and health, too. So, it's like a pretense of physical health & fitness.

Bodybuilding and /fit/-styled gym-ratism is NOT physical health or fitness. Half the time they're against these. This chain of posts didn't start with them as topics. So don't pretend the derision of the other anon was about them or sports in general. He specifically said lifting. That's just being disingenuous so you can get a hasty smug-post in.

enthusiasm?
/fit/ is basically /r9k/ + weightlifting
I browsed the hell out of /fit/ until recently and after 2 years of staying in that shithole I came here. The ONLY good thing are the humor threads and the memorable threads. Everything else is >tfw not chad >FACE FRAME HEIGHT >first sip of the day >shhh...no talkie until coffee >mire' threads (mostly larping) and FEELS threads.

why?
sort your life out.
/lit/ is semi-fucking-illiterate.

get off the chans if you want to improve your life. Ditch half of the internet altogether if you're serious about it.

why trade one shithole, echo-chamber for another?

I wouldn't have gotten into lifting seriously if it wasn't for /fit/
I want to get into books seriously and I'll probably get sick of this place as well.

Should i train tomorrow, or wait for wednesday?

I'm a 27 year old literal autist virgin and I refuse to go on /r9k/ because I know there is no better way to ensure I remain a virgin. I'm paying a therapist to try and solve the issues with the crushing self-esteem issues years of browsing /r9k/ absolutely contributed to. I would just ban /r9k/ from the internet if I ever had the power to because all it does is perpetuate mental illness. The only redeeming value of it is containment but I still don't think that's enough to justify it.

/fit/ and /lit/ at least got me into two hobbies which I enjoy and I think make me a more interesting, mentally healthy, and attractive person.

>Ironically we didn't make everything about politics.
Yes you did, in Communist State of Order everything is politicized because everything is centrally planned and you need to take into account economics and politics in every decision; it was just strucutral, institutionalized that you didn't recognize it.
