idk if you guys are just plebs or Americans, but everyone I work with or studied with at university reads extensively. the biggest chad I know read about sixty books last year. I think you guys would be surprised if you ever talked to people about books in the real world

granted i'm a civil servant so people tend to be well clued up on politics and philosophy, and a lot of books are spread around by word of mouth, but i literally don't know anyone who doesn't read and there are plenty of people my age (25) or younger at the department
