Start with the Greeks if you want to actually understand philosophy. Start with Kant if you want to virtue signal on the internet.

What is this fucking gatekeeping? The Greeks are obviously very foundational and influential, but here's the kicker you nerds - if you're looking to create a "foundational" worldview, you've already failed.

Sure, coming to philosophy through the Greeks can be helpful for many people, but there's no "rule book" to this shit. Some people also come to philosophy through reading a Buzzfeed article on how Infinity War represents a misinterpretation of Kant's categorical imperative. Yet others come to it through reading a copy of the Dao De Jing their hippie friend gave them for a birthday.

There's no "correct" way to get into philosophy, or even "correct" way to try and understand it. It's a process, not a goal. I thought this much was obvious.

Let correctness(path a) > correctness(path b) if path a takes less time and gives you a more profound understanding of concepts and ideas.
Then obviosuly correctness(starting with greeks) > correctness(anything else).

The truly enlightened know that you must start with the Greek philosopher Bophades. It is said eternal understanding comes to those who grasp Bophades' nuts.
