Overwrought prose and an endlessly didactic authorial voice render it joyless and condescending; a set of problems massively worsened by the book's ridiculous length.

The book is extremely repetitive, boring, and the message was already more than adequately told in the fountainhead, which was great

Personally I thought 'The Fountainhead" was a much better book. Her philosophy was much more reticulated, and story not so drawn out. Plus, it's got a bit of a romance novel intertwined.

Rand is full babbling nonsense that oversimplifies society and the world, where only the elite creators of stuff have any worth and the rabble everyone else leaches off. Except for the fact that she happily accepted Medicare and Social Security herself, funded by those same rabble because reasons. A Russian emigre with daddy issues and a fucked up worldview...yeah we need more of those telling us how society should be.

I want to ask US people about this literature. how the fuck this can be your best-seller and best-philosophy book? isn't it too "capitalism" to even on your perspective?

It's basically pic related stretched out for 1200 tedious pages. You get the point very quickly, but the book just keeps going and going for no reason.

Rosenbaum took the ideas from this book https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_Is_To_Be_Done%3F_(novel) and turned it into something totally opposite.

>too "capitalism"

Do you not realize how capitalistic the US is? Our only major political parties are capitalistic and even the majority of our so-called leftists only focus on social issues because capitalism is taken for granted. Centrist politicians are routinely accused of being socialists. Cold War propaganda was extremely effective.
