Occasionally there will be illustrations to specific stories that are really nice as well as the 10 full page (1 double page) illustrations. Overall this edition is really good. The only thing I don't like is the cover without the dust jacket. It's this shitty glossy plastic that looks really ugly. The dust jacket is a nice matte black with a vinyl texture to it with a nice cover illustration. Other than that this edition is superb and I highly recommend it.

Maybe I just got a flawed copy, or possibly a counterfeit. I'm not exaggerating (much) though, it felt like a fucking pizza box. The gilted engravings were chipped and off placement, and the glue binding was worse than a cheap paperback. It really did seem like it would fall apart just by being open.

I eventually settled on the LOA Lovecraft. While it also isn't a complete collection, I know they at least have some sort of quality control.

MacKendrick does that quite a bit as well. The book is in 2 parts where the first part is dedicated to writing: storytelling, storyboarding, scriptwriting, etc etc taking a lot from Aristotle. Different aspects of scriptwriting like exposition, suspension of disbelief, probability, etc. Its great and covers everything with examples like Sophocles, Hitchcock, and himself since MacKendrick himself was a great director and scriptwriter in his own right (if you want to see then watch The Sweet Smell of Success). The second part is all about actually shooting the film: shots, angles, positioning, directing actors, etc with examples from again his own work and stuff like Citizen Kane. Overall its a fantastic resource. The 'chapters' are taken from his handouts from when he taught at cal-arts.

It's possible the later reprints, or the editions used in some countries, are cheaper in construction than the original U.K. runs. So we may all have different quality experiences here: I always bought the hardcovers from the U.K. as soon as they were released.

So, the second and third books are my personal favourites in the series - they become much more "philosophical", in the sense that Don Juan loses his patina of cryptic elusiveness and starts to actually fucking teach the Castaneda character something that resembles metaphysics (it may be because I was reading them on the side, but I found his subsequent teachings to be similar to the ideas of both Spinoza and Artaud). The quality of the books as pseudo-novels increases dramatically as well, make of that what you will.

Malories version is mundane. Can’t believe you don’t have the Mabinogion. The reason I say get Alan Wilson and Baram Blacketts Arthurian history books is that they have actually straightened out the history and myths with genealogies and manuscripts from the lives of saints as well as detailed field research and mapped out where battles took place, even where Camelot was.

Start off just by finding a used copy of the holy kingdom book Adrian Gilbert for a taste of what they’ve done them get Artorius Rex discovered for solid history without the verbose scene setting because it’s self published. The 3 large books I have by them are masterpieces I’m so glad I finally tracked them all down just yesterday received the final one I needed to complete.

Go on YouTube and watch some of the videos they’ve done on British history and King Arthur.

One of the great migrations came from Trojan stock as explained here >>11099298

Haven't you ever wondered why the majority of native Welsh look like a pure Mediterranean race while the Irish and Scots look completely different yet are all grouped under "Celtic" race? Celts were a French tribe. Britons were never Celts and the term was only ever first applied to them in the 1700's by dumbed down English revisionism to put a blanket over a much deeper subject.

Infact all the way up till the 1700's it was a known fact that Trojans settled in Britain. The Victorian era historians dismissed it as false because they believed at the time that Homer's Trojan war was a myth along with the Troy itself ever existing. Troy wasn't rediscovered untill the late 1800's but the English history books haven't been corrected.

The whole substance to Alan and Baram's version of history is simply to take the ancient Welsh histories as fact where as what we're all taught is the English version of british history, the English being the arch enemies of the Welsh for over 1500 years.

Like I said ealier, just check out that first book I mentioned as preview, The Holy Kingdom by Adrian Gilbert. Its all professionally edited and written and is simply an outsiders view of the work of Alan and Baram. You'll get an idea of how serious and close the total genocide of pre Saxon British culture and language is with the peak of the threat being the 20th century English take over of all schools in Wales and the outlawing of the Welsh language. Children in school would get beat for speaking a single word of Welsh up to 100 years ago and led to a decline in the language of 95% Welsh speakers nationally to today under 20%.

Not being able to read or speak their own language they have forgotten their own culture and believed what the English teachers taught them. People complain about Jews revising history and genociding whites and european culture but they look like angels next to what the English have done and continue to do. And by the English I mean the elite who aren't even British but Germanic. History is taught to hold the Germanic side of the English up as the greatest and master race while degrading the Welsh and Irish and primitives. The total opposite is true when you read into it.

Oh and I need to say that the most vital key in teaching history should be to inspire and make the nation and its people proud. Even Hitler pointed this out in Mein Kampf. Goes without saying the British are demoralized from what they learn in history class and the media. This is because they have removed everything interesting and inspiring from the history books.

Whats better, a country of primitive, blue painted sodomites who have orgies and whatever Celtic nonsense we're suppossed to believe. Then of course being conquered by Romans easily then by German barbarians easily. King Arthur being just a myth.

Or...

A civilised people who's story ties into ancient Mesopotamia, who defeated the Romans under Julius Cesar TWICE, even stripping him of his sword and sending him back to Rome never to return. Only to falter to the strongest empire on earth through internal corruption so the Romans had a free march into London where they fought a 9 year long war with the Silures kingdom of South Wales only to settle on a trade treaty. The founding of Gnostic Christianity taking place in 50 AD in Britain hundreds of years before the founding of Catholic Christianity in Rome. The King of Kings, Arthur successfully driving out all immigrants from the lands and becoming an immortal legend and inspiration for all time to come.

The Welsh and Irish are linked now because of Historians, that doesn't equate as factual that they were historically linked and had the same origins. They can't find an Ancient link between them anywhere. Irish Gaelic and Scots Gaelic have strong connection with Northern Scandinavian Languages for example, where as Welsh is one of the most unique languages in Europe. Multiple Linguists have pointed out how unusual Welsh is because of where it's placed...some say it's closer to middle eastern languages than any other European language. Which clearly points to a long time period of separation of the language from other influences (which means it clearly didn't develop in What we now know as Britain and Wales). The only small influence on Welsh comes from Latin.

The Welsh are Clearly the Cimmerians, other wise known as Gimiri and Beth Khumry (Cymru Am Byth in modern times of the language)...This is why Cultures are lost throughout history, because of certain people's refusal to use the Language and Events of the Nation in question.

but that's factually wrong, I've studied Nordic languages before and they are a lot different than any celtic language, the only things that were left there are when the vikings conquered most of Scotland, Manx and parts of Ireland.
Even a superficial look into the comparison makes it easy to see a similarities between Goidelic and Brythonic

Wow its basically the same! Did you even read the page you linked? Breton (Britanny, France) and Cornish are similar to Welsh because Britanny was literally founded by the Welsh and is of the same race and culture. Cornwall being isolated just South of Wales obviously would be similar despite being in English boarders.

I haven't read into that yet and am just going off the interviews with him but if he's right then he has truly solved the past better than just about any historian before him.

Yet Coelbren is found on stones and in caves in Wales and all over the old traces of the mythical migrations the Welsh histories have claimed since the beginning of history.

English historians always write off Welsh history as lies and try to degrade the sources character. If you want to understand it objectively just apply the same arguements to the White Nationalists vs Jewish revisonists topic. The same thing has been going on for hundreds of years being committed by the English.

If Coelbren was made up by a drug addict then why is it found in Egypt and throughout the ancient world?

+Extremely complete editions most often containing everything an author ever wrote including journals, notes, letters, scraps, etc.
+Clothbound, ribbon bookmark, smyth-sewn binding
+Extensive publication history covering novelists, historical writings, poets, etc.
+Very affordable and available

>Cons
-rarely, LOA encounters a problem with the rights to an author, resulting in some of the greats being absent from the catalogue (Hemingway) or strange editions (Fitzgerald edition doesn't contain Gatsby)
-odd DJ material that attracts fingerprints
-title on spine is oriented wrong and it looks fucking terrible
-paper is a bit thin
